DOMINIQUES - A RARE PAIR
| Dominiques have the distinction of being America's first
chicken. They were first introduced into this country in the early
settlements in New England. Their characteristic black and white barring
and rose combs make them very interesting subjects to paint. I have
raised this breed in the past and they are my favorites.
This painting was recently published in SPLASH 9-The Best of Watercolor by North Light Books. |
